Biography
Born in Mexico City, tenor Fercho Hernández began his vocal training in 2007 in Toluca and continued in 2012 with soprano Edith Contreras at the UNAM Faculty of Music.
He later relocated to Austria, where he studied under Regine Köbler at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Stephen Chaundy at the Prayner Conservatory, and Bojidar Nikolov at the Richard Wagner Conservatory.
He has performed as a soloist and in operatic roles across concert halls and theatres in Mexico, Austria, Germany, Spain, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, and China, including appearances at the Vienna Musikverein, the Vienna Konzerthaus, and the Wolkenturm Grafenegg.
His credits include productions such as Carmen in Kittsee, Fidelio in Gars, and soloist roles in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Palais Žofín in Prague. Since 2021, he has been a member of the extra chorus of the Vienna State Opera.
Following a tour across major venues in China and his soloist engagement in the contemporary opera Daphnes Garten, he continues his vocal development with Stephen Chaundy, Melba Ramos, and vocal coach Nenad Marinkovic, while directing the musical ensemble Voglia d'ARTE alongside soprano Marisa Blanco.
